Waistcoat (wool?) - 18th century - American  MET C.I.41.113.4  I would guess this is early 18th c based on the front edge being straight and the length.  Things to note are the unlined turned finished edge at the armsyth (no raveling of fabric suggests wool), also note the trim (silk?)
