Finally made up my mind after being confused for so long. Onwards and upwards - looking forward, not backwards. I forget peoples priorities change when their lifestyles do... But It doesn't take much to show a little interest or affection. Just a shame they forget you helped them to get to where they are. But when you think about it....where were they for you?
Oh my word. So true. The tragedy is that so many people who are abused don't even realize it. Predators can be absolutely brilliant at grooming their victims, making their victims think what they're going through is normal. Sometimes it's blaming the victim. Sometimes it's disguising abuse as some form of medicinal or other routine. Sometimes it's parentifying children so they feel responsible for their perpetrator's feelings. Jared... Truer words have not been spoken. You can hear about all the good in the world, all the the things that lift your soul. You can hear about evil and become angry and you can hear about misfortune and feel downhearted. However, having those thoughts aren't finding yourself, what you believe in. That's something that takes a lot of contemplation and you will be confused by yourself. But finding where you truly stand is priceless
