The shelf with the tightrope act. They say that over time relationships lose their sense of excitement. That doesn’t apply to our relationship with the Gespanntes Regal. And Wolfgang Laubersheimer, who developed the shelf in the early 80s, is still producing the Gespanntes Regal by hand. And even signs his name on one of the shelves. The characteristic steel cable in the design classic is by no means decoration, but provides tension and stability. After all, straight is child’s play. And Wolfgang Laubersheimer, who developed the shelf in the early 80s, is still producing the Gespanntes Regal by hand. And even signs his name on one of the shelves. The Hi-tech Plug-in Shelf 1.2 mm thin steel panels are reinforced by folding to make resilient shelf boards. Boxes are inserted exactly into the grooves. Boards and boxes form the individual levels without the use of tools or additional connecting parts. By turning the boxes the compartments can be equipped from all directions.
