Das Tróodos-Gebirge erstreckt sich im Herzen Zyperns. Dort befindet sich mit dem Olymp auch der höchste Berg der Mittelmeerinsel. Im Gebirge gibt es viele schöne und gut ausgebaute Wanderwege. Auf 1850 Höhenmetern schlängelt sich der Artemis-Trail um den Olymp. In der Nähe befindet sich auch das reiche und berühmte Kloster Kýkko. Hier lebte auch der spätere Staatspräsident Makarios III.
