DIY Budget Bathroom Makeover
Collection by Ann Brown
1980's hall bathroom goes from brown bomb to fun and bright for under $1,000. If you are just looking for an update or an easy way to get your home ready for sale, check it out!
The brown vanity top with integrated sink was taken out and replaced with a bright white top and integrated sink. $150 from HOBO. The mirror stayed in place and I bought 2 pieces of trim and cut, painted and glued them right onto the mirror. New toilet $80. New faucet $70. Shower curtains are actually 96" curtain panels from Home Goods $20 and hung with a curtain rod at ceiling height.
Before
Mason jars hold necessaries in a pretty way while entertaining with fun movie quotes.
What teenager do you know that hangs their towels up neatly on a bar? Not mine. Hooks are a great way to let them do their thing while the baskets hold fresh towels for guests.
There was a track light already in place. I purchased 2 pendants to add to the spotlights. $35 year at Menards.
Rustoleum Tile and Tub paint - 2 quarts about $70 to transform the tub and tile.
This 1983 hall bath probably look exactly the same as the day it was built. It's not the place I would want to glam myself up.
