Larry the Letter Eater - Make alphabet learning fun - great for Kindergarten. Have students find small objects in the classroom that start with whatever letter you're learning about that day/week. Then they can feed it to Larry the Letter Eater. (All you need to make your own: two ping pong balls, an old coffee can with lid, paper and stickers to cover it). - by Ellie
Homemade baby wipes: Cut a roll of paper towels in half, remove the cardboard. Insert into a clean coffee can. You'll be able to pull out of the center of the roll. I like to decorate the coffee can too. Mix together 1 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of baby soap, and 2 tablespoons of oil (I've used olive oil and baby oil). Pour over the paper towels. Sometimes I make up an additional liquid mix (half of everything) if I don't feel like the papertowels look moist enough.
