What is a B Corp?
Ever come across the B Corp certification? I published a more detailed piece about B Corps on our Medium, but simply put, certified B Corporations give equal weight to people, planet and profit. #buylessbutbetter
a black and white photo with the words try to live better, with less, that lasts longer buy less but better
Live better with less.
Why do so many still believe that more equals better? I came across some worrying stats I wanted to share with you: • The average German owns 10.000 items. About one hundred years ago that number was 180. • The average 10 year-old owns 238 toys but plays with just 12. • The average size of the American home nearly tripled in size over the past 50 years... and still 1 out of every 10 Americans rent offsite storage - the fastest growing segment of the commercial real estate industry.

The Global Ecological Footprint
Today, the Global Ecological Footprint is equivalent to over 1.77 Planet Earths - a measure of how much ’nature’ we have and how much nature we consume. The number represents the number of planets we need to provide the resources for our consumption and absorb our waste. The concept was developed in 1990 by Mathis Wackernagel and William Rees at the University of British Columbia. Everything we buy requires natural resources. And it all adds up! Act more responsibly. Buy less but better.
a blue background with a quote from jasperr morrison that says, have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful
Society has evolved to encourage people to buy things they don‘t need. Perhaps it's time for a little house detox. What's still useful? What's actually necessary? What brings you joy? #buylessbutbetter #jaspermorrison #thinktwicebuyonce #sustainability #qualityoverquantity #simplicity #consciousliving #inspiration #mindfulquotes #minimalism #zerowaste #lessismore
a black sign that reads,'f + + = black friday some gave in to the madness, others didn't celebrating those who boycotted black friday
F*** Black Friday
Why should a brand that designs with people and planet in mind, that values quality over quantity and that creates with passion and respect reduce the price of its products? Why should a product go on sale when it's made to last? Why are we expecting to pay less for the same item at some random day in the calendar? This post is to celebrate those who said no to sales and yes to #fuckblackfriday.

F*** Black Friday
Today is the 27th of November 2020. Today is Black Friday. And today we are launching - a movement to fight blind consumerism. Our mission is to fight blind consumerism by empowering people to make better choices. To simply be more conscious of our actions. To live better, with less, that lasts longer. To think twice. To buy once. To think long-term. To pursue less. To value quality over quantity. To buy less but better. #buylessbutbetter #buynothingday
Blind consumerism is vandalism.
