I loved doing this when I was learning how to read and write! Have the child say the individual letters as they trace them in the salt/cornmeal, and you're addressing all three learning styles: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic.
Easy.. Create each child's name on computer, put inside a sheet protector....when making their name-----make first letter green..green means go.. Last letter red.. Red means stop. Provide lots of capital and lowercase letters to manipulate. Write your own name or a friends name
Alphabet sensory table - magnetic letters hidden in coloured rice with scoops & shovels. Matching letters are stuck onto baking trays (which are attached to the wall with velcro). The children hunt for the letters & stick them onto the corresponding letters (",)
