FREE!!! Plant Parts: Your students will love this hands-on plants interactive notebook activity. The students will color and cut out a "lift the flaps" books and attach it to their interactive notebooks. Two sets of plant part descriptions are provided. One set is for novice learners, and the other set is more descriptive. Students can cut and paste the descriptions under the correct plant part, or they can write their own description.
FREE! This is a great follow up activity to planting seeds. Our class loves the Diary of a... series by Doreen Cronin so this was a perfect writing activity for us! Students will first brainstorm some ideas of what their seed or plant is thinking. Then students can write diary entries from the point of view of their seed or plant! There are two versions included: one with the word "seed" and another with "plant."
Plants is perfect for your spring themes. This unit is based around essential questions with vocabulary cards with real pictures, anchor charts to reinforce concepts, labels for sorting, observations, science experiments and fun hands on craftivities that students will love! I have even included a sample lesson plan to demonstrate how to implement the activities. You will find everything you need for a complete plant unit!
