Bob Thall, my teacher of Architectural Photography. Sorry Bob but we didn't get along at all, did we? That's OK. you'r ea great artist and many years latter I recalled the day you took us to the Print Study Room of the Art institute to look at those proofs by Sinsabaugh. When his book came out I bought it! The banquet camera eh?!
Sympathy for the Devil-In 1968, auteur god Jean-Luc Godard captured The Stones in the midst of making Beggars Banquet. Cameras rolled as they recorded their soon-to-become anthemic "Sympathy For the Devil" in London's Olympic studio. Beginning as a ballad, the track gradually acquired its world-famous pulsating groove. The film is a brilliant portrait of the creative process at its most collaborative and arousing. #rollingstones #classic #film #music #cimmfest
Thaddeus Holownia is another artist featured in our Nature Factory exhibition. For over 2 decades Holownia has used his banquet camera to document the changing landscape of Newfoundland & Labrador. The Terra Nova Suite features an extensive collection of black and white images of land and sea from Argentia to Voisey's Bay. See website for bio info on Thaddeus and his extensive exhibitions.
