Mamgu means grandma in Welsh. The recipe (if i'm at all truthful) doesnt belong to my mamgu but a family friends nan! Bara brith means speckled bread. I love this cake spread with butter and a good cup of tea.

Sugar-crusted Bara Brith.  This is a great recipe, but I would use a lot less marmalade (less than 1/2 the suggested amount, I reckon), or else you will not be able to enjoy the subtlety of the tea flavoring.
