Nusaybah bint Ka'ab, was a member of Ansari delegation at Aqabah. She is best known for her role in the battle of Uhud. Initially, Nusaybah was there with other women to give water to the thirsty troops. But when it appeared that defeat was imminent, Nusaybah entered the battle, carrying a sword and shield to defend the Prophet. She also participated in Treaty of Hudaybiyah, Battle of Khaybar, Umrat al Qada, and the Hunayn and Yamama campaigns. She is also famous as a narrator of Hadith.
