Called the STrial, this is the latest custom BMW from Barcelona-based Fuel Bespoke Motorcycles. It’s inspired by ISDT bikes—the Triumphs, BSAs and Pentons of the that competed in the International Six Days Trials.
Custom motorcycles are often about sacrifice. As looks improve, functionality suffers. So it’s good to see the occasional long-haul machine given the custom treatment—like this 1978 BMW from Crowe Customs of Portland, Oregon.
BMW airheads respond well to the cafe racer treatment. But you don’t often see one with a mono-shock conversion. This 1976 BMW (above) is owned by graphic designer Casey Wilkinson of the motorcycle-mad Wilkinson Brothers.
