I would love to have this for all the poles in front of the house!

Springtime enthusiasm is in full force over here- and I can't get enough of flowering vines these days. I'm seriously obsessed.

“More Bougainvillea” Lori Gloyd (c) 2007 Here’s the same bougainvillea trellis. I did not adjust color hue or saturation. This appears as vibrant as real life.

Ever since last week's scare and removal of my sago palms, I've begun planning my backyard. While my wisteria is thriving and my irises are beginning to blossom, I'm contemplating adding one or two bougainvilleas on the other side of my trellis or the back wall flower bed where it gets full sun. Backyard Planning, Phase I: Bougainvilleas

Tree umbrella out of rebar as focal point - we could string lights coming up and out like faux water feature

Steel rebar sculptures Climbing umbrellas Bespoke designs made to order. Great idea for a wine bottle tree

BOUGAINVILLEA - We have two of these. One this color which is performing "okay", the other a purple one hasn't made it - We are trying to replace it. I love these, just wish they performed better in Louisiana.

BOUGAINVILLEA love the hot sun. Plant in pot and trellis- bring inside for the winter

My bougainvillea this spring, before pruning to install the new trellis.

How to Care for Your Bougainvillea

Bougainvillea vines are rapid growers and climbers, and prolific bloomers, but watch out, because they will grow into the soffit and gutters of your home.
