Cro-Magnon's body was generally heavy and solid with a strong musculature. The forehead was fairly straight rather than sloping like in Neanderthals, and with only slight browridges. The face was short and wide. Cro-Magnons had a prominent chin. The brain capacity was larger than the average for modern humans. However recent research suggests that the physical dimensions of so-called "Cro-Magnon" are not sufficiently different from modern humans to warrant a separate designation.

Second Wikipedia: "Cro-Magnon is an informal name for the first early modern humans (early Homo sapiens sapiens) of the European Upp.

Cro-Magnon: describes the first early modern humans of the European Upper Paleolithic; earliest known remains are from43,000 years ago; robustly built and powerful; body was generally heavy and solid with strong musculature; forehead was fairly straight rather than sloping like Neanderthals, with only slight brow ridges; had a prominent chin

The original Cro-Magnon skull. The name derives from the Abri de Cro-Magnon (French: rock shelter of Cro-Magnon, the big cave in Occitan) near the commune of Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil in southwestern France, where the first specimen was found.

So Why Don't We Still Call Them Cro-Magnon? The more we learn about early modern humans, the less we feel confident about the early classification systems we developed more than 130 years ago. The term Cro-Magnon doesn't refer to a particular taxonomy or even a particular group located in a particular place. The word is not precise enough, and so most paleontologists prefer to use Anatomically Modern or Early Modern Humans.
