Tsuruga Castle ( 鶴ヶ城 ), also known as Aizuwaka-Wakamatsu Castle ( 会津若松城 ), is a concrete replica of a traditional Japanese castle in northern Japan, at the center of the city of Aizuwakamatsu, in Fukushima Prefecture. The original castle was destroyed in the Battle of Aizu by the forces of the newly formed Imperial army in 1868 during the Boshin War, at the eve of the restoration era.
