Phorcys- Greek myth: a primordial sea-god, son of Pontus and Gaia. he was depicted as a fish-tailed merman with crab-claw fore-legs and red-spiked skin. his wife was Keto with which he fathered the gorgons, the Graeae, Ladon, and Echidna.
