Nazi official Hans Fritzsche sits in his jail cell during the 1945 Nuremberg Trials. Fritzsche, who was a member of the Reich Propaganda Ministry, was one of only three defendants who was acquitted during the Nuremberg war crime trials.

hans Fritzsche was acquitted by the IMT. He said, "I am entirely overwhelmed--to be set free right here, not even to be sent back to Russia. That was more than I hoped for." He was later tried and convicted by a German court, then freed in 1950. He died in 1953.
