Brayden: Greasers can't afford rings, cars, or other items of power, so they had to use a more affordable way to identify themselves. By wearing their hair in a specific style, greasers distinguish themselves from other groups.

I think I saw one once, on a tattoo magazine, and it was actually so refreshing. And realistic? Like, the chances of running into a chubby bearded fella are a lot higher than running into a guy with greaser hair and a six pack.
