The palace houses the Naturkundemuseum Mensch und Natur (“Museum of Man and Nature”), the Porzellanmuseum (“Porcelain Museum”) for the on-site porcelain manufacturer Nymphenburg, and the Marstallmuseum in it’s wings. In the expansive palace park, visitors can discover numerous other smaller attractions: In addition to the Badenburg, Pagodenburg, and Amalienburg summer residences as well as the Magdalenenklause hermitage, the 299-hectare-large landscape garden

The baroque Nymphenburg Palace in the western part of Munich was the summer residence of the Bavarian monarchs.

So far we have unearthed fossil evidence from more than 20 different human-like species, known as hominins, who are more closely related to humans than any of the apes alive today.     Meet some of our oldest relatives below and discover what insights they can provide about our own evolution.

While the Powerhouse Museum has thousands of artefacts, data and information, it is limited by space and therefore has created a maze of digital archives, unseen by visitors. The rags: paraphernalia of menstruation is a well rounded collection digitally available that brings forward a topic still seemingly taboo in society, despite its prominence in the lives of half our human population, and indeed the very natural process by which humankind exists.
