Necrotising faciitis in a diabetic foot: There is extensive subcutaneous emphysema tracking along the facial planes throughout the foot and distal leg. Note that the proximal extent of the subcutaneous gas is not visualized.

This pattern of subcutaneous emphysema is characteristic of necrotising faciitis. Make note that the proximal extent of the subcutaneous gas is not visualized, and more proximal imaging is needed to determine how axial this process has migrated.
Pleural Lipoma: a soft tissue mass in the right lung apex along the lateral chest wall which forms obtuse angles where it meets the chest wall (yellow arrows) suggesting a pleural or extrapleural location. Axial CT shows the mass and demonstrates a density measurement equal to that of fat (red circle). The coronal reconstruction gain shows the obtuse margins of the mass. The patient also had emphysema and a pneumothorax with subcutaneous emphysema.
