Within 24 hours of Anne Boleyn’s execution on 19th May 1536, Jane was betrothed to Henry and they were married on 30th May 1536. Henry was delighted when she gave birth on 12 October to a son Edward ( Edward VI). Jane was weak after the birth and died on 24 October.
