Walter Schellenberg was an officer in the Sicherheitsdienst (SD), the intelligence agency of the SS, and eventually became its chief. In 1940 he was charged with planning the occupation of Britain once it had been successfully invaded. It seems he was also planning his wedding during this period: the photo shows him with his second wife on their wedding day, 10th October 1940.
