Here is a picture of my ingrediënts of last week. I bought everything in the Turkish shop that I didn't recognise. The rhubarb I recognised, but I had no idea how to cut, peel or cook it. A good reason to phone with my mother. And my friend who came for dinner got tears in his eyes because he hadn't tasted rhubarb anymore since childhood, when his deceased mother used to make it.  - By Marieke (part 1 of 2, see next comment)

All I know at the moment is that I should not try to fry the big brown yam in the back, cooking is way better for a novice like me. This was the general consensus of all the people in the shop after I asked what it was and how to cook it. Already an interesting start of the day!  - By Ysbrân
