The design is based on the concept of limited to infinite development. Through a continuous space formed by a spirally rising ellipse from small to large, from south to north. At the same time, the concept of limited to infinite development also implies that »Shenzhen International« will break through the shackles of limited in the future and develop towards infinite possibilities. In 2021, the competition committee of Nanjing County selected ten old and dangerous Tulou with different forms, with the aim of proposing a renewal plan for the existing ones. Office ZHU participated in one of the renovations of Tulou-De Xing Lou, which has three floors, uninhabited and needs to be transformed into an art and cultural space. Liebwylen: Hybrid sustainable living. Five angular multi-family houses with a nature-bound floor plan typology encircle the existing villa of the legendary Swiss chocolate and confectionery manufacturer Max Felchlin in Schwyz/Switzerland from 1927. A total of 18 duplex and 14 single-storey apartments and a garage for 55 car parking spaces are planned. The projects completion will facilitate a shift from the traditional »treatment-led« to »health-led« approach. The design is inspired by the ancient Lingnan water township of Shunde and uses interlocking landscape axes to open up the green corridor space to create a healing garden hospital that is symbiotic with nature. We make use of the advantages of Sanlong Bay waterfront resources to build Meeting Point between Guangfo and Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Relying on Guangfo blue-green ecological belt, we have customised an open system with »flexibility« and »inclusiveness« for urban innovation elements.
