Stafflenberg Gänsheide stands for aesthetic living culture, a claim that we embody as ‘savoir vivre’ in our brand work. At the heart of this concept is an elaborately produced flipbook that renders the high quality of the property tangible. This experience is transformed–from print to web with parallax effects and animations. APPEL NOWITZKI GmbH was awarded Winner in the ICONIC AWARDS: Innovative Architecture.
Ein guter Plan is a holistic, ecological planner with app support that helps people to take care of their mental health, strengthen emotional intelligence and avoid burnout every day. This is done through numerous reflection exercises and mindfulness techniques. EGP Verlag GmbH was awarded as winner in the German Design Awards 2021.
The calendar is based on the museum collections such as works by Pablo Picasso and Isamu Noguchi. The simple composition, designed in monotonous typography, creates minimalist imagery that symbolizes the works of art. By changing the cut-off position, the layout shows the names of the artists at a glance and thus fulfills both the functions of a calendar and an art catalogue. aizawa office Inc. was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2021.
Dr. Thomas Wendel Aesthetics is a clean beauty brand that supports the natural functions of the skin with powerful ingredients, which are more than 95% natural in origin. The combination of pre- and probiotics stabilises the microflora and stimulates the skin’s own processes and regeneration mechanisms. The packaging is sustainable and the folding boxes are made from 100% recycled paper. Home Shopping Europe GmbH was awarded Special Mention in the German Brand Awards 2021.
OM is a high-quality, clean beauty cosmetics brand that develops and produces all of its products in southern Germany. They approached us to create a comprehensive corporate identity including brand strategy and narrative, packaging, and content creation for their first skincare range. Navarra.is was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2021.
»wyd« is a new brand for a video commerce platform developed by Lotte Home Shopping, Korea's leading TV shopping company. The »wyd« brand is built upon a rational ecosystem that is fun, reliable and ultimately useful for everyone. The motif of the buttons, which depict the ups and downs of videos, emphasize the characteristics of video commerce as well as the interaction between the brand and the consumers. LOTTE Homeshopping was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
Ten years of collecting graffiti images around different cities in America resulted in a thousand images. Eight curators were invited to select the best ones, so the images could travel through Flicker, and become a private social media forum where ten writers wrote during ten weeks about the 180 chosen images, aphorism, poetry, micro-story, in a collaborative way. Manolo Avila was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
»Whowho« is a Korean mobile service brand that offers convenient services. The development of the visual brand identity was inspired by the slogan »Better when together, whowho«, which aims to reflect the brand value. The wordmark and graphic elements in the form of a blue heart are emphasized by the monochrome color palette, while the vibrant blue embodies the brand’s technological nature. whowho & company was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
Here’s how we grew Planted, a start-up from Zurich, into a brand and then into a movement. First, we launched planted meat – vegan meat made from pea protein. With animal lovers, health freaks, climate heroes and meat fans in mind, we designed the brand to be as provocative as the product. Then, we sparked the #TastyRevolution. Planted Foods AG was awarded as winner in the German Brand Awards 2021.
A Thai woman and an Austrian restaurateur meet in the Gulf of Thailand - and something great is born: Bangkok Street Food in the “Ländle“! Squeaky-clean multiculturalism in the middle of Vorarlberg/ Austria. Like the restaurant, the corporate design creates a colourful and seemingly random appearance that is fun to look at. Pichler Gastro GmbH was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
Corona shaped 2020, a year in which home and community became more significant. This aspect is central in the »annual report of the housing cooperative spar+bau«. The beehive was chosen as a conceptual symbol for the strong community: With its hexagonal honeycombs, this masterpiece of nature stands for stability and permanence - just like the cooperative. Spar- und Bauverein eG was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
»SONAR Real Estate« is a newly founded partner for real estate investments, which we have accompanied from hour zero. From the brand identity to the logo, the business stationery and the website, we have given the still young company the appropriate face. In a bold, fresh and courageous way, we are bringing the makers to the attention of investors and clearly demonstrating the strengths of the company. Sonar Real Estate GmbH was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
A small speech therapy centre developed within 25 years and in the third generation into a modern and large therapy centre in Zwickau. Now the overall appearance should also match. In 2021, we relaunched an ageing logo with an appealing, medically innovative corporate design, which is now gradually becoming a closed corporate identity. The different colours define different areas and still form a unit. LaVida Therapiezentrum Rustler was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
We developed the new corporate identity for the »Projekt Neues Museum«, an exhibition extension of the Senckenberg Naturmuseum Frankfurt. This is conceptually based on the exhibition architecture of a pentagon, which is visualized in the brand system. A central role is played by the museum's exposed exhibits, which overlap with graphic elements, create depth and bring the new design to life. Senckenberg Naturmuseum Frankfurt was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
For »Alpenland« real estate company, the characteristics of a city were transferred into the corporate identity. The bold typeface embodies the static nature of the buildings and contrasts with the fine serif typeface, which reflects the lively dynamics of a city. The symbiotic play between the typefaces catches the viewer's attention and intuitively starts an interaction with the brand. Alpenland Grundstücksgesellschaft mbH was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
When it was completed in 1973, Mannheim’s »KOROS« was already considered one of the most modern office buildings ever seen. This spirit is being revived some fifty years later as the building is developed into a new work centre. »Agnes Kriek« is a very special real estate agent: She is a graduated engineer in urban and regional planning and an expert for the valuation of developed and undeveloped properties (TÜV). She combines expertise and personality. These skills are reflected in the new corporate design. The star/flower-like shape and the use of fresh green and blue tones create a positive, friendly and confidence-inspiring effect. Agnes Kriek was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
For the »SRH« foundation, which is successful in the socially relevant markets of education and health since 50 years, a strong overall brand was developed from its own identity, bundling all fields of competence, generating synergies, ensuring visibility, and creating identification among 16,000 employees. SRH Holding was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
»AFS Medical« is a manufacturer of highly complex medical products. Communication is based on the idea that »AFS« and its developments are very close to the intelligent solutions found in nature. Innovative minimally invasive techniques open up new approaches and paths for surgeons. This approach is expressed and brought to the target group with an outstanding key visual. AFS Medical GmbH was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
The family business »erborg« from Gelsenkirchen is a specialized retailer for pipeline construction, civil engineering and road construction. As part of a generational change in management, we were given the task of realigning the company's visual appearance. The focus of the corporate design is on the reduced representation of a pipe. The pipe is accompanied by the letter »e« which completes the individual trademark. erborg was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
The keywords are ‘easy’, ‘simple’, ‘focused’, and ‘stable’. The original concept of electricity was symbolized by the tip of lightning, the focal point of electrical power. It expresses the technology and power focused on the philosophy and goal of »ELECTRINE« to keep moving forward in the right direction pursued by »ELECTRINE«. The main color, electric blue, expressed hope and innocence. ELECTRINE was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
Ora Stradale (Time on the Road) offers high quality wristwatches for lovers of classic automobiles. The logo made up of the initials O and S symbolizes the road. The solution of understanding the logo as a dynamic, three-dimensional object just like a road, makes it a central element of the entire storytelling, digital and even analog, for example as a product display. Ora Stradale was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
A local wine shop filled with nostalgic emotion. Klaas Wein is located in a house dating back to 1541 and takes its name from a previous owner, Mathilda Klaas, who as a soprano in the 40’s danced and sang for soldiers in northern Africa. The shops identity borrows from the idea of her life - blooming flowers, chaos, constancy, rebirth and creation - the old and the new together. Mat Oakley was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
»Young Salt« is a contemporary London Dry Gin passionately handcrafted in Belgrade, Serbia. The idea behind the design concept was to portray the experience of gin itself with the story of a journey one makes through his life while sailing on different seas. Calm sea, waves, and whirlpools as three different states can be seen at many levels. Salty Stone Distilery d.o.o. was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.

But who has the guts to get the whole thing started? »start.land.flow« – the digital magazine by and for idea generators inspires people by blending exciting stories from the regional startup scene with personal success stories and bios of creators. Anything but boring! A brand design so unique, the word “FRESH” does not do it justice. IGZ Bamberg GmbH was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
