The basic form of the guidance system is the black cube, which is varied in size, number and visible surface. As an application situation, a distinction is made between path marking and destination marking. Path markings require a long-distance effect and use the cube as a whole. Destination markings only show sections of the cube and can only be experienced up close. WILO SE was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022. The »Sartorius« logo and signage were designed to reflect the brand promise “Simplifying Progress”. Thanks to its clear, graphic design, the logo differentiates the brand distinctly from our competitors. The basis for the logo was our corporate font TT Norms Pro, a timeless and geometric sans serif. The simplifying approach is also mirrored in our signage. The uniform line thickness enables both small and large format applications. The strong black and white contrast ensures that the icons are easy to recognize and can be used on monochrome displays. For »Berlin Südkreuz station«, a cross-space staging was implemented as a wayfinding system. On the four lower long-distance platforms, a colour code was established on the stairs and lifts to provide intuitive orientation. In the upper station concourse, the Flow takes the 200,000 travellers on their way and builds a visual bridge. DB Station&Service AG was awarded Special Mention in the German Design Awards 2022.
