Girl Scout Alumna Dolores Huerta is an activist whose work to improve social and economic conditions for farm workers, immigrants, and women led to the founding of Agricultural Workers Association (AWA) in 1960 (later to become United Farm Workers). Under the AWA, Dolores fought for better working conditions, unemployment and healthcare benefits, and civil rights.
