Each student was given one page to color with either crayons or colored pencils. They could use any colors or combinations that they wished. When they were all done, they cut out each Collaboration Square. The squares were put on a table and an attempt was made to group them with 3 others of similar colors and style. Not alway easy. The beginning of a new school year is exciting but can also be a little bit nerve-racking for children and teachers alike! The first days need to fulfil several objectives including allowing everybody to settle in, to begin to re-connect/make new connections and to be filled with enthusiasm for the year ahead. Whole school or class projects are a great way to start the year with a bang, so here are 16 ideas to inspire and make everybody feel part of the team.

It's been a total joy collaborating with 8 to 12-year-old kids from Orakei School. I think we've managed to create something uniquely kiwi with these three artworks.

Our Pop Art Group Projects are collaborative artworks for up to 20 people. Each participant completes a section of the image which is then assembled with the others to reveal a unique artwork.
