Hyacinths--I set the bulbs in a little bit of water so the roots could start to grow (they already had a few leaves sprouting up when I bought them). Then I filled a vase with stones (you could use marbles or rocks as well) and nestled the bulbs in place so they wouldn’t tip over. Next I filled the container with water, just enough so that the bottom of the bulbs were touching the water.
