Southern Railway FP7A #6133 has the duties on tis day in 2009 of shuffling the passenger train aruond the grounds of the old Spencer Shops in NC, now home to the North Carolina Transportation Museum. A fellow photographer has the vintage locomotive in his sight as I also get my shot. The difference between the two of us is he may have seen this engine bck when she pulled passenger trains in her heyday. This was my first time seeing the museum crew run her.

GMTX 9092 was built by EMD in 1986 as Oakway Leasing 9092 for long term lease to Burlington Northern Railroad. It went through a number of lessors before being bought by the GATX Rail Group (GMTX) and in turn leased out to Norfolk Southern. A crew out of Columbia, South Carolina is in charge of local train Norfolk Southern P77 in nearby Cayce on the old Southern Railway V Line. NS 5202 is an EMD GP38-2 built for the Southern Railway in 1976.
Norfolk Southern B32-8 #3534 a by Joseph C Hinson
Norfolk Southern B32-8 #3534 leads P83 uot of Rock Hill with a cut of cars for the Lancaster and Chester Railroad in Chester. NS 3534 was built in 1989. After this shot was made, it was renumbered to #534 to make way for rebuit SD40-2s. All of the B32-8s have since left the roster. Most were cut up for scrap.
NS #8736 Leaving Columbia Color by Joseph C Hinson
Norfolk Southern #8736 leads Train 191 out of Columbia, South Carolina in October 2008. The conductor is walking ahead of the train to throw a switch so the train can proceed toward Georgia and points south. NS 8736 was built for the railroad by General Electric in 1992 as a C40-8.It was removed from the active roster and eventually cut up for scrap in 2017.The former Union Station is in the background to the left of the frame. It served both the Southern Railway and Atlantic Coast Line.
