At first glance, Vetra by Marset could be no more than a traditional, old-fashioned, blown-glass lamp, but turning it on yields a surprise: it uses a completely closed glass diffuser as a reflector, and creatively places the light source outside (instead of inside) the shade. At Supersalone in Milano we couldn't pass pendant lamp Kepler, which is available in three sizes. The structure is a painted aluminum extrusion, whose continuous line is made through a three-dimensional machining process engineered by Nemo and designed on the basis of the geometric principle of the Moebius strip. Available in matt white, black and gold painted finishes.
Inspired by town festival lights, the Drop collection by Ilfanale represent a unique solution for outdoor and indoor environments. Thanks to their transparency and simplicity, these lamps made of brass, copper and glass give a new contemporary reinterpretation of the teardrop form. Jackie O by Catellani&Smith was developed at the request of an architect and while working on the project, Enzo Catellani realised the unique quality of the item he had in his hands. He strived once again to achieve »absolute zero« and hoped even to eliminate the cable, which he did so by developing, for the very first time, an extremely thin cable covered in blue fabric. The chandelier was on display at Supersalone in Milano.
Bird by Nemo lighting is a table LED lamp in extruded aluminum with T-shaped support in polymer filled with glass fibers. The lamp, placed freely on the edge of a surface, oscillates and moves but always returns to the horizontal position. The LED module incorporated in the arm rotates around its own axis, making the lamp versatile providing diffused direct and indirect lighting.
Created by Marcel Wanders, the Skygarden by Flos is a stunning display blooming above you. A gracefully hanging hemisphere, the pendant lamp makes a powerful impression with its sheer size. However, it is the inner diffuser in white painted cast plaster that steals the show. Standing beneath it, you will see the intricate design that gives this piece its name.
Designer Christophe Mathieu got the idea for the Platet collection by Bover while walking around La Escala, when he noticed one of those typical industrial-looking wall lamps with the bulb visible and protected with a transparent glass. "I would say that we all have it in mind and that it is as old as incandescent bulbs; simple shapes, shapes that comfort us, shapes that are familiar to us and that make us travel through time," Mathieu explains the design.

The Zile light range, named for its diffuser shape which resembles a Tibetan bell, features a minimalist design. The new collection by Luceplan is, in all respects, an eco-friendly one. The lampshade is made of a long-lasting bioplastic (PLA) which is normally used in the packaging industry as a compostable material. The range, that was presented at design exhibition Supersalone in Milano, comprises floor lamps, table lamps and pendant lights.
