Facts suggest that perhaps she was more independent than we normally think of women and had some sort of personal autonomy. “It’s possible that women of the northern Bronze Age were able to make negotiations and establish friendships by themselves, and not necessarily through marriage connections,” Flemming Kaul adds.

The Egtved Girl - More from Denmark. A Bronze Age costume which was found on a girl, years old, who had been buried in a oak coffin near Egtved, Denmark. The girl died in around the year 1370 BC.
