Stamp Organization
A few months ago when I was preparing the nest for Connor, I was organizing a bunch of my crafting supplies. I wrote a post proudly declaring victory on all my clutter – particularly when it came to paper, punches, stickers, embellishments… you get the drift. I also bragged about my stamp organization. I have nothing on Jamie Cripps. In fact, my post just looks silly now. Proof: There’s a color system to this filing system! She’s stamped each stamp onto the folder for super easy reference…

5 Days to an Organized Crafty Stash: Die-namics
Welcome to day three of My Favorite Things Stamps 5 Days to an Organized Crafty Stash posts! Today is about Die-namics storage. My system for storing Die-namics hasn't changed much since last year, but my die box is definitely fuller! (It's heavy too--not a box you want to move very often.) I've used the ubiquitous InterDesign Divided Storage Container that Jennifer McGuire introduced to the stamping world a few years back. I have used 5-1/2" x 8" magnetic sheets from Taylored Expressions…
Embossing Folder Storage Using the Large Die Box- using the envelope punch board
Welcome Crafters! I did a video of my embossing folder storage a while back. I have to say, I out grew this storage solution. (yes, I have THAT many embossing folders...we won't count okay!!!!) My solution was to stack my folders in a plastic lock in lock container. It worked. I am not sure I would call it organized though. It kept the folders from getting bent- which happened to one of mine when I stored it with my heavy dies. BUT....I had to sort through all my folders to find the one I…

Die-namics Storage & Organization
Welcome back to another day of storage and organization tips. Our topic today is dies! My dies sit in my Expedit shelving unit from Ikea. I have the desk extension for the Expedit unit and that is where I keep my die-cutting machine, paper trimmer, and my printer. My stamps sit on the top shelves and the dies on the bottom shelves. I store my Die-namics in the double fridge bins. I have two of these double bins that house all my current MFT Die-namics. I have all of my retired dies stored in…

*Updated December 26, 2015 to add new pictures of my die storage as well as new categories! Until now, I’ve been storing my dies like this and it worked fine until I got so many dies that I needed three containers to hold them! I didn’t have room for all the containers and it was starting to […]

Cardstock Organization and Storage
A few months ago, I finally got all my cardstock labels printed and assigned to the correct folder! You see, the cardstock was organized into separate file folders, but I didn't have labels on them for the longest time! What good are separate folders if you don't know what is inside them?!?! Here's what I did... Typed the name of every color of cardstock I have, and put either "SU" or "PTI" for Stampin' Up! or Papertrey Ink after the name. I printed on regular white printer paper, then used…
