This is how cashews grow. From a botanical point of view, cashews do not belong to the category of nuts: they are kernels of the cashew tree fruit. This tree, which can grow up to 15 meters high, produces pear-shaped, thickened fruit stalks, which are called cashew apples, but are only pseudo-fruits.
