This photo by John Harte was printed in the Bakersfield Californian. This picture shows the agony of a family who lost a loved one due to a drowning. I believe that it was a good thing because stricter laws needed to be enforced when it comes to little kids swimming.

Louisville guard, Kevin Ware broke his bone on a nationally televised game. The sequence was played over and over on live television.
