Vintage Handkerchief Valance
I really hit the jackpot today at an estate sale! I've been looking for just the right vintage handkerchiefs to make a valance for my bathroom and there were at least thirty at this sale. It was hard for me not to buy all of them but I only got enough to do this valance. I added a little "bling" with the fake crystals which are lovely when they sparkle in the afternoon sun. Framed Old Hankies
These were my mothers and grandmothers hankies All I did was iron some old hankies of my mothers and grandmothers . I've used a pretty vintage Sanderson floral fabric to make this summery handbag.... Combined with a corner from an old napkin, Victorian glass button... And lined inside with classic black and white ticking. Another style of bag using the same fabric combination... with a c1930's wooden button.
