Mariedal Castle is a castle in Sweden. Written accounts and the weather vane indicate the castle was built in 1666. The splendid interior of the castle provides stucco ceiling and wainscoting. A portrait collection of the Sparrerska family is displayed there.

Oscarshall castle is located in the small fjord Frognerkilen on Bygdøy in Oslo, Norway. The castle was built from 1847 to 1852 by the Danish architect Johan Henrik Nebelong for King Oscar I. Oscarshall was sold by King Carl IV to the Norwegian state in 1863, and has been at the disposal of Norwegian kings since.
There are about 100 ruins of medieval buildings and other stone structures in Norway. Most of them are churches, but there are also remains of monasteries and castles. The best-known site in Norway is the ruins of Hamar cathedral. A permanent structure enclosing these ruins was built in 1998.
