“Iridescent, iron-stained Cactus Quartz - S. Africa ”

Quartz v. Cactus, Iron staining causes this light amethyst cactus quartz to be yellow. There are some iridescent areas caused by oxidation of the iron too. The specimen has good luster overall with quartz crystals to 6 cm tall.
