Nickolai Bukharin, one of the 'Old Bolsheviks' and early leaders of the party. He was first an ally of, then an opponent of Stalin during the struggle for power after Lenin's death. During the wave of mass repressions and killings in 1937-38 known as the Great Terror; Bukharin was one of the main defendants in the third Moscow show trial. He confessed, was found guilty, sentenced to death and almost immediately shot.

Rozalia Zemliachkta was a Jewish CHEKA mass murderer, who with her demented lover Bela Kun murdered 50,000 White Army officers. While Kun used machine guns, she had them thrown into furnaces to be burnt alive, some multilated, drowned. She joined the Soviet CHEKA in 1918, her sadistic nature even shocked CHEKA head, Dzierzynski. After her reign of terror in Crimea 1920/21, she kept up her murderous ways till she died in 1947. Stalin gave her a state funeral.

It is suspected that he and Lenin conspired to order the murder of the Imperial Family in Ekaterinberg in July 1918.  Sverdlov died in the 1919 Influenza Epidemic at the age of 33.

Grigory Zinoviev was purged by Stalin in 1936. A defendant in the first Moscow show trial, that of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite Terrorist Center, Zinoviev was sentenced to death and excuted in August of that year.
