This vestment is said to have once belonged to the Bushell family who lived near Preston in Lancashire. Br. Houghton refers to it as the "Silver Embroidered vestment". The rich embroidery is of flowers, fruit and scrollwork, mostly in silver but accented with red, blue and gold. On the back, the letters IHS are embroidered in silver in the centre of the cross.
Vestment colours, for the seasons of the Church's year.
