Haüyne from In den Dellen quarries, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany - Haüyne (pronounced "how-een") is an extremely rare mineral and even rarer gemstone. It was first dicovered from samples discovered in Vesuvian lavas in Monte Somma, Italy, in 1807 by René Hauy from who it derived its name.
