ROOT BEER CAKE: 1 C sugar; 1/2 C soft butter; 1/2 t vanilla; 2 beaten eggs; 2 C flour; 1 T baking powder; 1 t salt; 2/3 C root beer. Blend all ingredients on low speed; mix for 3 min. on med. speed; pour into greased & floured 8"x8" baking pan. Bake at 375 for 30-35 min. Spread frosting over cooled cake. Serves 8-10. FROSTING: 1/4 C butter; 1/8 t salt; 2 C powd'd sugar; 2-4 T milk; 1/3 C root beer, chilled. Mix all together except root beer. Add root beer; beat to desired consistency.
Gooseberry Patch Recipes: Renae's Taco Casserole from Our Favorite Mexican Fiesta Recipes Ing. brown 1 # ground beef, 1-1/4 oz pkg. taco seasoning, 15 oz can tomato sauce. Mix together: 3 c cooked elbows, 8 oz sour cream, 1/2 c cheddar. Put noodle mixture in 9X13 pan and top with ground beef mixture. Top with 1/2 c cheddar and 1/4 c Parm. Bake uncovered 30 mins. 6 servings
