Dollar store mirrors and candlesticks to make a beautiful cupcake stand! I think some people must have higher end dollar stores than we have here . I've never seen mirrors like that in a dollar store.

I love seeing the big displays of things around the holidays in large apothecary jars but I always have this mental block about spending $100 on jars just to fill them with $100 worth of candy or decorations.  It seems like there should be an easier or less expensive way — and now there is!

I totally did this. Dollar store plates or platters and cups. Glue them together and you have a cupcake stand for $5!!!!

made the base from a vase and 2 candle holders from dollar tree ( i used E6000 glue). Then i cut out a frame out of foam board, and used a glue gun to attach it to the underside of a square mirror (walmart $3). I ordered a roll of crystals from hobby lobby, cut them to 2 different sized lengths and attached them to the foam board with the glue gun. Then i just glued diamond wrap trim along the edge of the mirror
