understanding the process of grieving...

For the one left behind, life stops for a time, frozen in grief and pain. It begins again and you learn that everything in your life has changed in some way and your life will never be the same. Then the grief begins.

Tomorrow marks ONE year since my two friends got killed in a car crash.. Tomorrow night will be a night that Ill never forget

Today marks the 100 day of my baby girls death. conflicting emotions that make me sad and confused.

Understanding that grief is comprised not only by the devistating loss of a loved one, but also of the many secondary losses that are a result of the death.

Secondary Loss -- one loss isn't enough? < loss can impact many areas of one’s life, creating multiple losses from that “primary loss”.loss of concrete things.Loss of financial security.Another type of loss.a loss of identity.

Some people forget that grief can manifest itself in physical symptoms as well as emotional. Here are some physical symptoms of grief that are often experienced.

5 Stages of Grief & How to Survive Them

I think I have experienced all of these since I lost my precious husband.

This was mean, but for no reason. Depression I guess. :(

The worst type of crying. No one knows my tears. Because I cry alone. No one wants to hear of my pain, so I keep it all to myself. How sad is that? After hiding it for so long, I feel like a pro at it.

So true...it's a sadness that keeps you from sleeping, it's the hole in your heart that you don't know how to fill! --------- Always trying to fill the void, the emptiness that's left inside your heart... that nothing and no one can ever take its place.

I think the hardest part of losing someone isn't having to say goodbye but rather learning to live without them. Always trying to fill the void the emptiness that's lost inside your heart when they go
