UTS Visual Communication: Universal Appeal. Beethoven poster by Josef Muller Brockmann poster for the Zurich Town Hall in the 1950s. Brockmann felt the rhythm of the music the posters were advertising which he reflected in his work. They exemplify constructivism as the pattern moves off the page. The poster is more graphic than illustrative.

Infographic: The Bauhaus, Where Form Follows Function

This was made in 2008 for my Motion Graphics class in Visual Communications at the University of Technology Sydney. The brief asked us to explore the graphic possibilities of a font we were given, and include the history behind the font. "Futura in Motion" was an attempt to create a moving Bauhaus-style poster, also inspired by the 1920's cartoonist Rude Goldberg. The odd aspect ratio was part of the brief.
