Matthew Albanese‘s tableaux landscape photographs are unbelievably real. Using everything from household objects, food and lighting, Albanese has appropriated his interest in movies, special effects, and miniatures to become a creative force.
When you feel like putting your life in perspective, nature is your friend. Spent the last couple days on San Juan Islands and in the ocean and I now have the renewed composure to take on whatever is coming my way!
This was made by photographing a beam of colored light against a black curtain to achieve the edge effect. The trees were composited from life. The stars are simply strobe light through holes in cork board.
