Women's Dress, c.1837. Purple silk dress, low neck with fitted bodice and high waistline. Narrow shoulders and long sleeves. The top of the sleeves ruched and finished with band of pleating, lower part of sleeve fall over the elbow and finish with a fitted cuff. Cuffs, neck, shoulders and sleeves and main bodice seams piped.
