染付高蒔絵牡丹唐獅子文大壺・広口大瓶 (そめつけたかまきえぼたんからじしもんおおつぼ・ひろくちおおびん) 肥前・有田窯 Hizen, Arita ware 佐賀県 Saga prefecture 1700~40年代 (壺)口径20.1 蓋付総高87.4 高台径20.8 最大径43.0 (瓶)口径29.5 高59.8 高台径14.7 器面のほとんどを高蒔絵で装飾している。高蒔絵による装飾部分の地は無釉である。器高は総高87.4cmと大きく、作品全体からは装飾性あふれる豪華な印象を受ける。蓋および如意頭形にとった肩および腰部の区画内は、牡丹・菊・花の3種類を配した染付の唐草文で埋めている。また高台脇はハート繋文がめぐらされている。つまみの獅子は木製であり、製作当初からあったものかは不明。

Meiji Period.Comprising an ovoid vase with domed cover and a pair of bottle vases, all finely decorated with birds flying amidst flowering branches of prunus and peony against a shaded orange-red ground, within gilt detailed borders. Vase with cover 37cm high, bottle vases 30cm high , signed in black enamel to the base 'Dai Nihon Taizan sei' and impressed marks.

Each of these early export Imari baluster vases has original relief gold, red and black lacquer shaped panels. The first shows two shishi, rocks and peonies and a mandarin duck, below four small panels at neck with flowerheads.
