Fibonacci Day 🐚 – 23rd November, 2016 | Leonardo Fibonacci lived in the 12th and 13th century and was considered the greatest western mathematician of the Middle Ages. He helped to replace Roman numerals with the Arabic ones we know today but his most famous legacy is the Fibonacci Series, a number sequence from which comes a number known variously as the Golden Mean, the Golden Number or the Golden Ratio which mirrors the proportion seen in nature and perceived beauty. #FibonacciDay2016

I didn't know pierogi dated to the Middle Ages! YAY FOR YUMMY PERIOD FOOD!!!!!! "Pierogies are the Polish form of a handmade dumpling, made of unleavened dough, stuffed with different variations of fillings. They originate from Poland, sometime in the 13th century. Traditionally they were considered peasant food, eventually gaining popularity and spread throughout all social classes including nobles. Pierogies are still an important part of Polish culture and cuisine today."

Who's heard of the Battle of Lincoln Fair - perhaps the most important battle most of us don't know. 800 years on Lincoln has plenty of history to discover including the castle with its impressive wall walk the intricately beautiful cathedral with its famous imp carving and some gorgeous historic buildings all the way up the aptly named Steep Hill. Classical music aficionados may know Cremona as the birthplace of Stradivarius violins. High-quality string instruments are still produced in this Northern Italian town today. Cremona is also home to the world’s largest astronomical clock, which sits in a 13th-century bell tower in the city center.

Lacus and Rene: They lived in Europe and Rene walked in to see his parents were murdered. He ran away and met Lacus and they started living tgether. Lacus claimed him as his full brother and Rene only would agree to calling him half brother. One day, they were shot by unknown men and some passing vampires changed them. Crowley had blue eyes and was a crusader in the 13th century and Ferid is the one who introduced him to vampires and there's a longer bac story with that.
